What’s Important When Choosing a Gutter Guard?
Gutter guards go by many different names, but the purpose is the same: to prevent leaves, twigs, and other debris from accumulating in your gutters and impeding water flow.
5 Common Questions About Gutter Guards and Leaf Filters
Will the gutter guard filter out all kinds of materials?
Generally, gutter guards will keep all but the smallest debris out of your gutter, though some screen or mesh-type gutter covers won’t prevent small particles from accumulating in your gutters.
Will roof shingles be damaged when the gutter guard is installed?
Our professional installers will ensure that the installation is done properly to avoid damage to the shingles.
Can leaves accumulate on top of the gutter cover and block water drainage into the gutter?
This can be a problem with many screen-type gutter covers, which is why we’ll work with you to determine the best type of gutter guard for your home.
Can the gutter cover come loose or be damaged easily?
We use high-quality products that will be durable and long-lasting under normal weather patterns.
Will the leaf filter look good on my gutters?
Gutter guards come in a wide variety of colors, meaning that we can match the guard to your existing gutter to give your home a seamless appearance.

Bull Run Roofing

- We bought our home in Williamsport with decades of old, multi-layered shingles that were leaking and long overdue for replacement. After a competitive search among several roofing contractors, we chose Bull Run Roofing — and it was the right call. This was the whole kit and kaboodle, the roof, gutters, fascia, and soffits.
Amos and his crew installed a full standing seam metal roof, including snow guard rails, custom chimney flashing around a triple-flue chimney, and clean transitions across multiple roof pitches and valleys. The workmanship is excellent — tight seams, straight lines, and precise detail work around every penetration. They also handled cleanup thoroughly; no debris, no stray fasteners, no mess left behind.
Communication throughout the project was clear, and the crew showed up when they said they would and worked efficiently. For a project this size, on a house with a complex roofline, that reliability mattered.
If you're considering a metal roof or need roofing work done right, I recommend Bull Run Roofing without hesitation. Quality work, fair process, and a finished product we're proud of. - I am a careful consumer and got lots of bids and checked reviews. And I got some doozy bids from highly-rated companies! But Bull Run Roofing is very worthy of every great review they’ve gotten here—a fair price and a high quality metal roof. The team is incredibly professional, timely, neat and I’m really happy with the outcome. I’ve had several neighbors ask who did our work and how it went, and I’m happy to let them know. Really appreciate the effort and dedication to the craft.
- Top Notch Roofing Company.
